Using the basic dynamics switch available in Ansys Simplorer (twinbuilder). The module used in the following results is ABB (5SNA0800N330100) : Nominal Vce = 1800V and Ic = 800A.&nbsp; The fundamental frequency used = 50Hz and switching frequency = 500Hz. The dc link voltage = 1800V.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Using the available Eon (on switching energy) and Eoff (off switching energy) will always yeild a ZERO or constant loss eventhough (Vce * Ic) is not zero nor it is constant.
