


{"id":311952,"date":"2023-10-18T05:45:46","date_gmt":"2023-10-18T05:45:46","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/steady-state-thermal-analysis-simulation-of-led\/"},"modified":"2023-10-18T05:45:46","modified_gmt":"2023-10-18T05:45:46","slug":"steady-state-thermal-analysis-simulation-of-led","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/steady-state-thermal-analysis-simulation-of-led\/","title":{"rendered":"Steady state thermal analysis Simulation of LED"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hi,<\/p>\n<p>I am performing the simulation of Steady state thermal for A lamp which is illuminated by number of LED&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>Providing voluemtric heat generation rate in ANSYS workbench, with Radiation boundary condition to LENS of 0.85 Emissivity.<\/p>\n<p>What i Found is, the temperature are higher at the middle and then get lowered as they move from center.<\/p>\n<p>This is quite not understanding as all the LED of same dimensions, volumetric heat flux is same for all the LED.<\/p>\n<p>Then why temperature contour showing maximum temperature at center and lower temperature at end of domain.<\/p>\n<p>As it is steady state simulation the Temperature generated by the LED and heat flow should be constant at every instant of geometry. Attached are the images for reference.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/10\/18-10-2023-1697607728-mceclip0.png\" width=\"991\" height=\"521\"><\/p>\n<p>As we can see in above image that, LED are generating equal temperature distribution along the thickness.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/10\/18-10-2023-1697607802-mceclip1.png\" width=\"1000\" height=\"527\"><\/p>\n<p>In above image which on the reflectors, the Temperature rise at middle is at 57.9 and at end its 57.04.
