{"id":306913,"date":"2023-09-15T08:23:14","date_gmt":"2023-09-15T08:23:14","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/adjoint-solver-design-condition\/"},"modified":"2023-09-15T08:28:17","modified_gmt":"2023-09-15T08:28:17","slug":"adjoint-solver-design-condition","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/adjoint-solver-design-condition\/","title":{"rendered":"Adjoint Solver; Design Condition"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"lRu31\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Hello Ansys community<\/span><\/span><\/span>,<\/div>\n<p>I am going to optimize a 3D airfoil using Fluent&#8217;s adjoint solver.I have two design constraints which are:<\/p>\n<p>1-Fixed chord length<\/p>\n<p>2-Fixed camber line<\/p>\n<p>During optimization, these two conditions must be applied.I see a number of design conditions in the Design Tool, but I don&#8217;t know which one I should use correctly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px\"><a class=\"wp-colorbox-image cboxElement\" href=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/09\/15-09-2023-1694766137-Image.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/09\/15-09-2023-1694766137-Image.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"647\" height=\"258\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I wasted a lot of time (more than six months) and failed to apply these two design constraints to the geometry.<\/p>\n<p>I hope there is someone around the world who can help me.
