{"id":299501,"date":"2022-08-13T02:49:43","date_gmt":"2022-08-13T02:49:43","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/spaceclaim-installation-stopped-working\/"},"modified":"2023-05-26T16:37:56","modified_gmt":"2023-05-26T16:37:56","slug":"spaceclaim-installation-stopped-working","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/spaceclaim-installation-stopped-working\/","title":{"rendered":"SpaceClaim installation stopped working"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Recently a valid licensed SpaceClaim installed on a PC stopped working.<\/p>\n<p>What happened was, SpaceClaim&nbsp;was not used for more than 30 days, and when we tried to run it, apparently it re-validates the license via the internet.<\/p>\n<p>It seems the&nbsp;validation process retrieves the deviceID on the PC, and then sends that to ANSYS server to authenticate the license.<\/p>\n<p>But this authentication fails, giving error as follows.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ansys Licensing Error: License entitlements have not been refreshed since 2022\/06\/11, please connect and refresh.<\/strong>We have tried multiple ways to get it to work, including the manual refresh process using DOS cmd line.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, we attempted to reinstall SpaceClaim, but get an error saying . . .<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cNo valid license found. How do you want to proceed?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Then it gives two buttons to click . . .<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;<strong>Start in View-Only Mode<\/strong><br \/> Or<br \/> &nbsp;&nbsp; <strong>&nbsp;Exit<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>See the attached file named \u201cSpaceClaim_Errors.png\u201d for details.<\/p>\n<p>Also we noticed that when running the DOS cmd line program <strong>ansysls_client.exe -GetDeviceId<\/strong>, the value returned is on two lines . . .&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We believe this may be causing the SpaceClaim authentication problem.<\/p>\n<p>See the attached file named \u201cSpaceClaim_DeviceID.png\u201d for details.<\/p>\n<p>Please advise.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks,<br \/> L.
