I have been selecting the first mode that appears after calculating the modes and checking off the &#8216;Track selected Mode&#8217; button. However, I am not sure how it is obtaining the results because when I go and manually enter the frequencies it is sweeping through, I get my fundamental mode to have a different effective refractive index than the one shown in the sweep. What could be the reason for that? Would I have to write a script to pick out the fundamental TE mode every iteration of the sweep? If so, how can I do that?
