The goal is to calculate the Margins of Safety (MoS), so that I would need an model from which I can extract three forces and three moments.<\/p>\n<p>I remember that bolts can be modeled in MSC Nastran by connecting the centres of the holes and the rest of the structure with RBE2 elements, and then by connecting the centres of the holes with CBUSH elements. I am not sure if preload could be modeled this way though.
