


{"id":289394,"date":"2023-06-19T14:43:27","date_gmt":"2023-06-19T14:43:27","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/node-temperature-from-ldread-only-apply-to-a-part-of-the-model\/"},"modified":"2023-06-19T14:43:27","modified_gmt":"2023-06-19T14:43:27","slug":"node-temperature-from-ldread-only-apply-to-a-part-of-the-model","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/node-temperature-from-ldread-only-apply-to-a-part-of-the-model\/","title":{"rendered":"Node temperature from LDREAD only apply to a part of the model"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello,&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m building a model for a modal analysis, and since it has many differents parts with various scale I use 3type of elements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2D square elements for tubing<\/li>\n<li>3D hexa elements for extruded mass<\/li>\n<li>3D tetra elements for complexe forms<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>My analysis goes like this:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>load mesh information for thermal study:\n<ul>\n<li>ET,2,87<\/li>\n<li>ET,3,132<\/li>\n<li>ET,4,279<\/li>\n<li>(I have a total of 9 ET, but they only use those 3 elements, quadratique thermal elements)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>load some parameters (shell thickness for instance)<\/li>\n<li>give the shells some thickness with emodif, material attribution for all parts (9 differents materials) and TREF = 20<\/li>\n<li>load thermal boundaries from a given fluent analysis. For each node of the model:\n<ul>\n<li>d,&#8217;node_tag&#8217;,TEMP,&#8217;temperature_value&#8217;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>solve the thermal analysis:\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>\/SOL<\/div>\n<div>allsel<\/div>\n<div>ANTYPE,0<\/div>\n<div>NROPT,AUTO<\/div>\n<div>DELTIM,1.0,1.0,1.0,OFF<\/div>\n<div>CSYS,0<\/div>\n<div>SOLVE<\/div>\n<div>finish<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>load mechanicals boundary conditions, starting with\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>\/PREP7<\/div>\n<div>csys,0<\/div>\n<div>ETCHG, TTS<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>some nodes are rotated for cylindrical boundaries, some CERIG are used<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>solve mecanical analysis:\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>\/SOL<\/div>\n<div>!PreStress<\/div>\n<div>ANTYPE,0<\/div>\n<div>csys,0<\/div>\n<div>allsel<\/div>\n<div>LDREAD,temp,last,,,1,,rth<\/div>\n<div>allsel<\/div>\n<div>PSTRES, ON<\/div>\n<div>SOLVE<\/div>\n<div>FINISH<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If I stop the job at the thermal analysis, the thermal field is correct. The analysis produces a file.rth.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the mecanical analysis, when I load the result, only the shells elements have the temperature from the thermal analysis, the rest of the model (3D hexa and 3D tetra) are at the TREF temperature.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve tried many things, many selection combinaison, and I&#8217;m kinda out of ideas. Any chance someone spot an error in my input ?<\/p>\n<p>Thanks a
