I start to learn Zemax and Lumerica.<\/p>\n<p>I sdtudy the article https:\/\/optics.ansys.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/360042097313-Metalens<\/p>\n<p>And I have questions:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Zemax allows me to create phase mask using Binary 1. Why Binary 1 does plase befor cylidrical lens <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/06\/05-06-2023-1685955358-mceclip0.png\">. Then we optimaze to get focus point <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/06\/05-06-2023-1685958300-mceclip1.png\">. This give the phase distribution in binary 1. <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/06\/05-06-2023-1685958446-mceclip2.png\"> And I can save this data in txt file. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/06\/05-06-2023-1685958525-mceclip3.png\" width=\"552\" height=\"291\"> But how can I use them in Lumerical?<\/li>\n<li>&nbsp;How the phase_map_from_ZOS_R100um.mat has been create?
