of inexistent elements when meshing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am using Ansys Structural, but whenever I try to do the meshing, something weird happens.<\/p>\n<p>I have a bridge deck with steel girders and some steel stiffeners between the girders.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/06\/05-06-2023-1685949101-mceclip1.png\" width=\"1018\" height=\"477\"><\/p>\n<p>I have tried to do the meshing without the stifenners (by supressing them) and the result is that some girders are meshed by tetrahedron and other by hexahedron.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/06\/05-06-2023-1685949132-mceclip2.png\" width=\"1016\" height=\"479\"><\/p>\n<p>I found out that there is some &#8220;shade&#8221; of the stiffeners in the software, therefore in those, the mesh is based on tetrahedron.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/06\/05-06-2023-1685949211-mceclip3.png\" width=\"1009\" height=\"470\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>My idea is to first mesh all the slab and the girders using hexahedrons, and then the stiffeners (I don&#8217;t mind which mesh
