From what I understand, the remote point (pilot node) is connected to the scoped nodes via rigid line elements which have to retain their length. So &#8216;rigid&#8217; behavior would imply that these line elements can only move and rotate as one rigid body. In &#8216;deformable&#8217; mode relative translatory movements of the line elements would still be locked (since they would cause a change of length), but individual rotations of the line elements would be possible.
