


{"id":285401,"date":"2023-05-23T23:50:21","date_gmt":"2023-05-23T23:50:21","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/inserting-a-command-in-wb-to-define-nonlinear-orthotropic-material\/"},"modified":"2023-06-02T14:01:32","modified_gmt":"2023-06-02T14:01:32","slug":"inserting-a-command-in-wb-to-define-nonlinear-orthotropic-material","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/inserting-a-command-in-wb-to-define-nonlinear-orthotropic-material\/","title":{"rendered":"Inserting a command in WB to define nonlinear orthotropic material"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hi there,<\/p>\n<p>I am using ANSYS 2022 R1, and I am not quite familiar with the APDL commands, So I want to ask for help whether i can define ANISO material for a bunch of parts in workbench using APDL command like below.<\/p>\n<p>Step1, I created a named selection (which is called &#8220;column_foundations&#8221;) for all parts needed to be assigned this ANISO material property;<\/p>\n<p>Step2, I inserted a command snippet under the first body and gave the matid a specific name &#8220;nl_foundation&#8221; <span style=\"font-size: 18.6667px\">(as shown in Fig.1).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18.6667px\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/05\/23-05-2023-1684885584-Fig.1.png\" alt=\"\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Step3, I inserted another command under Static structural as below, to define all elements in the named selection (column_foundation) as the &#8220;nl-foundation&#8221; ANISO material; <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/05\/23-05-2023-1684885806-Fig 2.png\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Can anyone let me know whether the steps are correct?
