{"id":28404,"date":"2017-11-18T20:25:48","date_gmt":"2017-11-18T20:25:48","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/cannot-start-designmodeler-geometry\/"},"modified":"2017-11-18T20:25:48","modified_gmt":"2017-11-18T20:25:48","slug":"cannot-start-designmodeler-geometry","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/cannot-start-designmodeler-geometry\/","title":{"rendered":"Cannot Start DesignModeler Geometry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hi All,<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been wrestling with a very frustrating problem for many hours.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>I cannot start my DesignModeler Geometry.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m running ANSYS Student 18.2.&nbsp; When I try to run Design Modeler Geometry, I get the message: AnsysWBU.exe encountered a problem.&nbsp; A diagnostic file has been written: C:UsersmeAppDataLocalTempAnsysWBDumpFile.dmp<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve tried changing the name of the .ansys file in the %temp% folder and changing the name of the ansys file in the %appdata% folder.&nbsp; This didn&#8217;t work.&nbsp; I tried adding a new system variable called: ANS_OLD_ATTACH and setting the value to 1.&nbsp; This did not work.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this problem?&nbsp; I&#8217;ve desperately been trying to fix it to no avail.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-28404","topic","type-topic","status-closed","hentry"],"aioseo_notices":[],"acf":[],"custom_fields":[{"0":{"_bbp_old_topic_id":["570"],"_bbp_old_topic_author_name_id":["Anonymous"],"_bbp_old_is_topic_anonymous_id":["false"],"_bbp_old_closed_status_id":["publish"],"_bbp_author_ip":[null],"_bbp_old_sticky_status_id":["normal"],"_bbp_likes_count":["0","0","0","0","0"],"_btv_view_count":["3470"],"_bbp_subscription":["235502"],"_bbp_topic_status":["unanswered"],"_bbp_status":["publish"],"_bbp_topic_id":["28404"],"_bbp_forum_id":["27789"],"_bbp_engagement":["240","154844","155019","155122","155208","242364"],"_bbp_voice_count":["6"],"_bbp_reply_count":["17"],"_bbp_last_reply_id":["225704"],"_bbp_last_active_id":["225704"],"_bbp_last_active_time":["2021-12-12 12:53:12"]},"test":"mbuckley5689"}],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/28404","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/28404\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=28404"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
