I looked through the documentation, and I think ICEM CFD can do what I want. My problem is when I tried to follow the directions, I got something incorrect, so I’m not sure of the exact process.<\/p>\n

What I want to do is create a mesh of a relatively simple shape, with the surface faces on the top and bottom having an identical geometry. I don’t care in that regard whether its tri’s or quads, but the mesh on the top and bottom needs to be identical.<\/p>\n

What I did was try to enforce periodicity by angle, because since those surfaces are parallel I thought it would be the easiest option. I then meshed with octree meshing, and although the meshes were similar on the top and bottom I still had some problems around the edges.<\/p>\n
