In <a href=\"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/correct-way-to-simulate-residual-stresses\/\">this discussion<\/a> it is mentioned how to get the residual stress. I did all of the steps.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/04\/05-04-2023-1680719735-mceclip0.png\" width=\"546\" height=\"212\"><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/04\/05-04-2023-1680719793-mceclip1.png\" width=\"434\" height=\"189\"><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/04\/05-04-2023-1680719824-mceclip2.png\" width=\"382\" height=\"224\"><\/p>\n<p>Equivalent stress here is larger than 250 MPa which is the yield strength so there will be a plastic deformtion and residual stress.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/04\/05-04-2023-1680719924-mceclip3.png\" width=\"554\" height=\"171\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/04\/05-04-2023-1680719957-mceclip4.png\" width=\"328\" height=\"170\"><\/p>\n<p>So now this is the residual stress that we have.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>1- If I want to add another load here, I should use the deformed geometry and map the residual stress as initial stress then apply another load?<\/p>\n<p>2- What is the total defomation in analysis A?
