


{"id":275771,"date":"2023-03-21T20:54:55","date_gmt":"2023-03-21T20:54:55","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/pipe-pressure-load-error-with-shared-topology\/"},"modified":"2023-03-21T20:55:54","modified_gmt":"2023-03-21T20:55:54","slug":"pipe-pressure-load-error-with-shared-topology","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/pipe-pressure-load-error-with-shared-topology\/","title":{"rendered":"Pipe pressure load error with shared topology"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Hello everyone,<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">I am trying to simulate an inflatable structure with pipe and shell elements, the elements are mechanically attached so as to transfer the loads between them, so I use the share topology option in my SpaceClaim geometry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">However, when importing it to ANSYS Mechanical, I am no table to apply the internal inner pressure to the pipes, I tried to un-share the pipe structure from the outer shell envelope and attach them with bounding connections but I am getting an ill matrix error upon solution.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">I cannot upload any details about the project, but I replicated an example of the configuration with a cube, the edges are modelled as beam elements and the faces as Shell, all of them with 0.1 mm thickness.
