{"id":251090,"date":"2023-02-22T19:06:32","date_gmt":"2023-02-22T19:06:32","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/license-manager-server-starts-and-then-immediately-stops\/"},"modified":"2023-02-22T19:06:32","modified_gmt":"2023-02-22T19:06:32","slug":"license-manager-server-starts-and-then-immediately-stops","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/license-manager-server-starts-and-then-immediately-stops\/","title":{"rendered":"License manager server starts and then immediately stops"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When installing the latest version of the LSTC license manager application (LSTC_LicenseManager_111345_win.exe), the application reports that it installed without any errors.&nbsp; The problem is that the LSTC license manager application&#8217;s Windows &#8220;Service&#8221; reports that it successfully started but then immediately stopped.&nbsp; Without this service running, the license file can&#8217;t be applied and the server doesn&#8217;t actually work as a license server.<\/p>\n<p>This has happened at least 4 times.&nbsp; Each time, the virtual machine has to have a previously created restore point restored since even manually removing the service and reinstalling the license manager application doesn&#8217;t help.<\/p>\n<p>The server is a VMware virtual server running Windows Server 2019 Datacenter (64-bit O\/S of course).&nbsp; Any suggestions or solutions would be greatly appreciated!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-251090","topic","type-topic","status-closed","hentry"],"aioseo_notices":[],"aioseo_head":"\n\t\t<!-- All in One SEO 4.9.10 - aioseo.com -->\n\t<meta name=\"description\" content=\"When installing the latest version of the LSTC license manager application (LSTC_LicenseManager_111345_win.exe), the application reports that it installed without any errors.
