We are mainly interested in the condensation that would happen on the inner surface of the pipe as humid air passes through it, not bulk condensation. So far we have used VoF and Mixture models, but we faced some difficulties on modeling humid air (as a fluid consisted of air and water vapor). Using VoF model, we were able to observe liquid water at the end of simulation, but the initial fluid in that case was just pure water vapor, not a mixture of air and water vapor. recently I started learning about Eulerian Wall Film which seems to be more comprehensive than other models. There is a tutorial by Ansys on using Wall Film model for the simulation of the Defogging phenomena in car’s windows. My question is that would it be a reasonable approach to consider condensation [hypothetically] as reverse defogging or fogging in this case and then use Wall Film model to simulate the condensation we are looking for? and if there is anyone with some experience or knowledge on this model who can give us some advice or comments<\/p>\n
Thank you.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-250825","topic","type-topic","status-closed","hentry","topic-tag-heat_exchanger-1","topic-tag-condensation-evaporation-1","topic-tag-eulerian-wall-film"],"aioseo_notices":[],"acf":[],"custom_fields":[{"0":{"_bbp_subscription":["216824","199"],"_bbp_author_ip":["23.220.96.181"]," _bbp_last_reply_id":["0"]," _bbp_likes_count":["0"],"_btv_view_count":["3058"],"_edit_lock":["1678287676:115010"],"_bbp_topic_status":["unanswered"],"_bbp_status":["publish"],"_bbp_topic_id":["250825"],"_bbp_forum_id":["27792"],"_bbp_engagement":["199","216824"],"_bbp_voice_count":["2"],"_bbp_reply_count":["3"],"_bbp_last_reply_id":["253117"],"_bbp_last_active_id":["253117"],"_bbp_last_active_time":["2023-03-08 16:11:36"]},"test":"ahkhoshbooiemun-ca"}],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/250825","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/250825\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=250825"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
