


{"id":243980,"date":"2022-12-13T23:31:33","date_gmt":"2022-12-13T23:31:33","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/nonlinear-static-strutural-analysis-deformation\/"},"modified":"2022-12-13T23:31:33","modified_gmt":"2022-12-13T23:31:33","slug":"nonlinear-static-strutural-analysis-deformation","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/nonlinear-static-strutural-analysis-deformation\/","title":{"rendered":"Nonlinear Static Strutural Analysis &#8211; Deformation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Basically, I have this bar with the following forces applied:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/12\/13-12-2022-1670972944-mceclip0.png\" width=\"1352\" height=\"512\"><\/p>\n<p>At the bottom, it is supported on the ground in this green surfaces.<\/p>\n<p>I want the directional deformation on Z axis when only one surface (on the edge) is supporting the bar.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But the bar cannot deform in -Z on the other surfaces, because they&#8217;re supported on the ground.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/12\/13-12-2022-1670973164-mceclip1.png\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So I defined three &#8220;Compression Only&#8221; supports, and then a &#8220;Displacement&#8221; (0,0,50)mm on the edge.
