For example, when lifting a generator subbase fuel tank the lift lugs used are pushed to the limit of failure (UTS). Am I able to deactivate these elements exceed this stress value? Other option is that the welds are linked to the tank stiffeners via bonded contact is there a process where elements within the bond contact are able to be killed per a specificied stress value? I have looked at the birth and death commnad in workbench but that is predetermined based on a load step. I am not exactly sure how I woudl do that on a load step basis as additioanl elements may need to be ddeactivated as teh solution progresses with the specified load step. I am using Workbench 2020 but am open to inserting APDL commands.<\/p>\n
Thank you for any insight and feedback on this manner. Let me know if additioanl detail is needed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-237120","topic","type-topic","status-closed","hentry","topic-tag-ekill","topic-tag-ekill-elements"],"aioseo_notices":[],"acf":[],"custom_fields":[{"0":{"_bbp_subscription":["240991","240","268698","270445"],"_bbp_author_ip":["23.220.96.180"]," _bbp_last_reply_id":["0"]," _bbp_likes_count":["0"],"_btv_view_count":["3123"],"_bbp_topic_status":["unanswered"],"_bbp_status":["publish"],"_bbp_topic_id":["237120"],"_bbp_forum_id":["27791"],"_bbp_engagement":["240","240991","268698","270445"],"_bbp_voice_count":["4"],"_bbp_reply_count":["18"],"_bbp_last_reply_id":["248668"],"_bbp_last_active_id":["248668"],"_bbp_last_active_time":["2023-02-06 01:30:42"]},"test":"luke-dykstrakohler-com"}],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/237120","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/237120\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=237120"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
