To do this, we would like to avoid simulating the whole domain but simulating only a wedge. We are using Fluent Meshing to create the rotating and stationary zones for the geometry and applied shared faces in the workbench in SpaceClaim.<\/p>\n
In Fluent Meshing, we applied the rotational periodic boundary to the two azimuthal sides of the domain. We also defined two interfaces for the connecting surfaces between the rotating domain and the stationary domain in spaceclaim. This is working for the MRF case and it is also possible for me to simulate a sliding mesh rotating simulation with the whole geometry.<\/p>\n
However, when I make a wedge from the whole geometry and follow the same procedure. I cannot use the periodic repeat function, since there are no interfaces being recognized in Fluent. What should I do to circumvent this problem?
