


{"id":234125,"date":"2022-08-30T15:20:37","date_gmt":"2022-08-30T15:20:37","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/parameter-sweep-with-vector-matrix-array-as-parameter\/"},"modified":"2022-08-30T15:20:37","modified_gmt":"2022-08-30T15:20:37","slug":"parameter-sweep-with-vector-matrix-array-as-parameter","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/parameter-sweep-with-vector-matrix-array-as-parameter\/","title":{"rendered":"Parameter Sweep with Vector\/Matrix\/Array as Parameter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hi everyone,<\/p>\n<p>I am trying to set up a sweep in Ansys Lumerical FDTD where the parameter I want to sweep over is a matrix.<\/p>\n<p>There is an option to set the parameter type as &#8216;Matrix&#8217;, which I have selected.<br \/>I have set the sweep &#8216;Type&#8217; set to &#8216;Values&#8217; (instead of &#8216;Ranges&#8217; &#8211; I can not imagine a range of matrices, or text strings for that matter as well). My custom analysis group controlled by this sweep also accepts matrices of any size, so there is no problem there.<\/p>\n<p>However, when I then enter a matrix such as [1;2] for &#8216;Value_1&#8217;, the matrix is not accepted and the value is reset to 0. The same happens for any &#8216;Value_i&#8217;, also when using the addsweepparameter command to set up the &#8216;Matrix&#8217;-type sweep parameter, including all values, simultaneously.<\/p>\n<p>Is this intended? Is this a bug?
