Usually following the simulation I save the animation straight way in the Setup tab (accessed through ansys workbench), but this time the program crashed following the simulation; luckily with no data loss.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve accessd the Solution tab through Workbench:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"workbench setup\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/07\/28-07-2022-1659003657-Capture.PNG\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>I only have the Mesh tab open when opening the Solution, the scaled residuals tab is closed and my plane view that I created for the animation was also closed. I right clicked the pathlines I created under graphics, and opened in a new wondow to see the created graphics.<\/p>\n<p>I then clicked &#8220;Playback&#8221; under &#8220;Animations&#8221;, but the &#8220;Write\/Record Format&#8221; is greyed out, so I do not have the option to write a video file:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Playback\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/07\/28-07-2022-1659004958-Capture.PNG\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>How are we to create animations through the solution tab in Workbench? When I click &#8220;Read&#8230;&#8221; I see the file:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"File\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/07\/28-07-2022-1659006002-Capture.PNG\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Clicking it I see:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Error\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/07\/28-07-2022-1659006084-Capture.PNG\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t delete animation-1 as it displays another error message &#8220;Sequence can&#8217;t be deleted. Animation onject exists in the current session.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>All of the .hsf files are still available:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"hsf files\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/07\/28-07-2022-1659006473-Capture.PNG\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>and the ansys user guide (unhelpfully) states the following:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Ansys 1\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/07\/28-07-2022-1659006577-Capture.PNG\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>and:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Ansys 2\" src=\"\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/07\/28-07-2022-1659006631-Capture.PNG\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Can someone point me to a solution to this, please.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-222543","topic","type-topic","status-closed","hentry"],"aioseo_notices":[],"aioseo_head":"\n\t\t<!-- All in One SEO 4.9.10 - aioseo.com -->\n\t<meta name=\"description\" content=\"I&#039;m trying to create an animation in Ansys Fluent 2021.
