The water will flow through the pipe and eventually hits the end wall and goes out. I used the k-omega model since the flow is turbulent. I would like to look at the trajectory of the water droplets starting from the inlet. For this, I used the pathlines feature in Ansys Fluent. The problem that I am having is that when I set the starting surface to inlet, there are a number of particles that start from the end wall. I don’t know where they are coming from and what causes this. Any help is greatly appriciated.

dThe red pathlines are the ones that start from the inlet and the other ones are what starts from the end wall eventhough I have set the starting surface to inlet.

["post-217702","topic","type-topic","status-closed","hentry","topic-tag-cfd-post","topic-tag-fluid-flow","topic-tag-pathlines","topic-tag-pipe-flow
[{"0":
259590","199
204.2.243.141"]," _bbp_last_reply_id":["0"]," _bbp_likes_count":["0
983
unanswered
publish
217702
27792
199","259590
2
1
217704
217704
2022-07-05 09:10:32
["GET
