{"id":166868,"date":"2022-03-01T18:52:13","date_gmt":"2022-03-01T18:52:13","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/the-discrete-phase-domain-drop-down-list-of-the-injection-window\/"},"modified":"2022-03-04T12:00:32","modified_gmt":"2022-03-04T12:00:32","slug":"the-discrete-phase-domain-drop-down-list-of-the-injection-window","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/the-discrete-phase-domain-drop-down-list-of-the-injection-window\/","title":{"rendered":"The Discrete Phase Domain Drop-down List of the Injection Window"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"Item-Body\">\n<div class=\"Message userContent\">\n<p>Hi <\/p>\n<p>Lets assume you have defined a granular phase called &quot;<strong>powder<\/strong>&quot;.<\/p>\n<p>In a DDPM model, for an injection of a granular phase, there&#039;s a &quot;discrete phase domain&quot; drop-down list in the injections window having this choice of &quot;none&quot; as well as the name of the discrete phase you have ( the &quot;powder&quot; phase in our case). <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>I have noticed via monitoring of particles volume that when choosing none, injected particles have <strong>zero volume, although with their mass being respected.<\/strong> This is opposed to when &quot;powder&quot; is chosen as the drop-down choice.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>There are a number of occasions where the user&#039;s guide talks about how choosing none activates parcel definitions panel for manual defining of parcel specs.
