The residual stresses are only measured in a few points in the structure and not over the entire body. I&#039;ve read that in Ansys it is possible to use the command INISTATE to implement a prestressed state but my question is what happens if I try to add these residual stresses in just a few points in the structure? Will the structure be in equilibrium?
