


{"id":163635,"date":"2021-11-02T07:15:51","date_gmt":"2021-11-02T07:15:51","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/there-is-not-enough-memory-for-the-distributed-sparse-matrix-solver-to-proceed-using-the-out-of-core\/"},"modified":"2021-11-09T06:15:46","modified_gmt":"2021-11-09T06:15:46","slug":"there-is-not-enough-memory-for-the-distributed-sparse-matrix-solver-to-proceed-using-the-out-of-core","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/there-is-not-enough-memory-for-the-distributed-sparse-matrix-solver-to-proceed-using-the-out-of-core\/","title":{"rendered":"There is not enough memory for the Distributed Sparse Matrix Solver to proceed using the out-of-core"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"Item-Body\">\n<div class=\"Message userContent\">\n<p>Trying to analyze a structural module for large deflections and got the below error.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;*** ERROR ***&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;CP =&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;731.672&nbsp;&nbsp;TIME= 23:34:24<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>There is not enough memory for the Distributed Sparse Matrix Solver to&nbsp;proceed using the out-of-core memory mode.&nbsp;The total memory required&nbsp;by all processes = 805117 MB.&nbsp;The total physical memory that is&nbsp;available on the system = 15403 MB.&nbsp;Please decrease the model size,&nbsp;or run this model on another system with more physical memory.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The same model ran successfully when the large deflections option is off. <\/p>\n<p>We have multiple base load cases and with large deflections &#039;on&#039;, some cases it is solving successfully but some it is throwing out the memory error. <\/p>\n<p>The error is very strange and it is asking for 805GB.
