However, I only have the mode field diameter and NA of the fibre but no refractive index of core or cladding is provided. Is there a good way to represent this kind of fibre? I am thinking of input a Gaussian beam with the correct diameter. However, I found the gaussian source input is only available in the FDTD solver and I want to model the chip in EME solver as the chip length is several hundred um long. <\/p>\n<p>May I ask for some suggestions?
