For simplicity I am using symmetry to simulate 1/4 of the model and chose to have the pipe be the moving object as it is simpler geometrically.

Is it generally better to run a static maxwell solver and then import the adaptively refined mesh or to strictly define mesh operations for all components?

Additionally, I wanted to clarify regarding the need for "mesh control" objects in Ansys for transitioning from finer mesh to coarse mesh. If I define a region of interest to have say 1mm element size limit and do not care about the adjacent area is it necessary to break down the regions adjacent to it and gradually decrease the maximum element size? This has been a requirement for other software.

["post-161427","topic","type-topic","status-closed","hentry","topic-tag-maxwell","topic-tag-mesh-generation","topic-tag-transient
[{"0":

Anonymous
false
337
0
2022-07-01 16:59:10
151970
unanswered
publish
161427
27793
186775","220048
2
1
189424
189424
2021-08-26 15:08:54
["GET
