The simulation runs perfectly with experimental settings (temp, pressure, velocity etc.) but the results vary a little. <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>As I try to tweak a little with the crevice model factors the simulation starts crashing giving the following errors::<\/p>\n<pre class=\"code codeBlock\" spellcheck=\"false\">Temperature overflow during fluxing.\nTry reducing the convection time step control tolerance and restarting.\n<\/pre>\n<p><\/p>\n<pre class=\"code codeBlock\" spellcheck=\"false\">Error: Run aborting because the timestep is being driven too small.\nThe cause of this is: &quot;Halved (recycling)&quot;\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;dt = 7.11500E-13 [s]\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;t = 1.69980E-02 [s]\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;cycle =&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;537\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;crank =&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;76.49 [deg]\nError: Consider adjusting the timestep control tolerances according to the cause of the timestep being too small.\n<\/pre>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>To resolve this I decided to alter convection factor in time step settings, but again the &#039;timestep being driven too small error came&#039;. To this I decreased the starin rate but then it got crashed with this error::<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<pre class=\"code codeBlock\" spellcheck=\"false\">Error: Temperature overflow during fluxing.\n&nbsp;Try reducing the convection time step control tolerance and restarting.\n&nbsp;There seems to be a deadlock in MPI communication for this job.\n&nbsp;FORTE will attempt to kill all the active processes at this time.\n&nbsp;Otherwise the deadlock will simply hang all the processes forever.\n&nbsp;Please send this message, FORTE.log file and .ftsim case file to Ansys support.\nCGNS solution file closed successfully\n<\/pre>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Could anyone please help how I can resolve these errors?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-160865","topic","type-topic","status-closed","hentry","topic-tag-combustion","topic-tag-forte-1","topic-tag-ic-engine","topic-tag-small","topic-tag-timestep"],"aioseo_notices":[],"aioseo_head":"\n\t\t<!-- All in One SEO 4.9.10 - aioseo.com -->\n\t<meta name=\"description\" content=\"I&#039;m trying to run a non-combustion IC Engine simulation in Ansys Forte.
