I got an answer from Ansys support that there are "4 cores per solver", which doesn't really mean anything, unless it means that each solver (Ansys, FLUENT, etc.) can only use 4 cores. Perhaps it was really meant that you can request 4 cores per solver license (that is, if you ask for 16 threads, you'll use for solver licenses), but that's not what it says. <\/p>\n
Can someone clarify how I can determine the number of threads a user can use when running Ansys?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-160574","topic","type-topic","status-closed","hentry"],"aioseo_notices":[],"acf":[],"custom_fields":[{"0":{"_bbp_author_ip":[""],"_bbp_view_count":["236"],"_bbp_likes_count":["0","0"],"_bbp_forum_subforum_count":["0"],"_btv_view_count":["4998"],"_bbp_subscription":["239902"],"_bbp_topic_status":["unanswered"],"_bbp_status":["publish"],"_bbp_topic_id":["160574"],"_bbp_forum_id":["27796"],"_bbp_engagement":["197","164684"],"_bbp_voice_count":["2"],"_bbp_reply_count":["4"],"_bbp_last_reply_id":["186306"],"_bbp_last_active_id":["186306"],"_bbp_last_active_time":["2021-07-21 16:36:09"]},"test":"michaelvanhorn"}],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/160574","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topics\/160574\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=160574"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
