


{"id":159346,"date":"2021-06-10T09:26:54","date_gmt":"2021-06-10T09:26:54","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/ansys-mechanical-gpu-acceleration\/"},"modified":"2021-06-16T07:25:27","modified_gmt":"2021-06-16T07:25:27","slug":"ansys-mechanical-gpu-acceleration","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/ansys-mechanical-gpu-acceleration\/","title":{"rendered":"ANSYS Mechanical GPU Acceleration"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"Item-Body\">\n<div class=\"Message userContent\">\n<p>Hi,<\/p>\n<p>I am trying to set up GPU acceleration for my ANSYS Mechanical APDL scripts on the HPC in my university.<\/p>\n<p>I tried to run a GPU accelerated simulation in interactive GUI mode and it gave me this error message.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"code codeBlock\" spellcheck=\"false\"> *** ERROR ***                           CP =       6.139   TIME= 09:41:23\n The capability GPU was either not ordered with this ANSYS installation\n or the appropriate product was not selected for this session.\n  Contact your ANSYS support person for more information.\n<\/pre>\n<p>In batch mode I get a more cryptic error message:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"code codeBlock\" spellcheck=\"false\">** FATAL ***                           CP =       1.771   TIME= 10:13:10\nThere was an error while initializing the GPU library.  Error code = 1.\n  Please check your Mechanical APDL installation.
