I am an undergraduate student , working on a pressurized tube. It has two open ended , but one side is partially capped with the structural component attached to it. Other side is a Venturi tube. The liquid flowing through is heated and have a pressure of 500 Psi. So i want to do a structural analysis on the tube made of steel and with a 3&quot; diameter. <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>My approach was, added a frictional support on the two ends of the tube with a pressure normal to the tube. Also added a new cylindrical coordinate system to get the hoop stress and the Axial stresses. I am not sure of the supports i used.
