


{"id":158406,"date":"2021-05-12T02:06:43","date_gmt":"2021-05-12T02:06:43","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/topic\/non-reflecting-boundary-condition-at-pressure-outlet\/"},"modified":"2021-05-14T05:49:17","modified_gmt":"2021-05-14T05:49:17","slug":"non-reflecting-boundary-condition-at-pressure-outlet","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/topic\/non-reflecting-boundary-condition-at-pressure-outlet\/","title":{"rendered":"Non Reflecting Boundary Condition at Pressure Outlet"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"Item-Body\">\n<div class=\"Message userContent\">\n<p>Currently, I am conducting <em>pressure based transient incompressible fluid flow in viscoelastic tube<\/em> in ANSYS fluent and I would like to create an <em>absorbing boundary condition<\/em> in the outlet of the tube.<\/p>\n<p>ANSYS Fluent already include <em>non-reflecting outlet boundary conditions (NRBC<\/em>) but only applies for ideal gas (compressible) flow.<\/p>\n<p>With <em>Pressure Far Field BC<\/em>, it is available only when density is calculated using ideal gas law.<\/p>\n<p>With <em>Outflow B<\/em>C, it cannot be used for unsteady flow with variable density.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The study is couple analysis between transient structural and fluid flow (Fluent).
