This move was part of ongoing efforts to integrate Lumerical products and services with the rest of the Ansys organization. Lumerical&rsquo;s team of Application Engineers will continue providing support to our customers on this new site.&nbsp;That said, there are a few important differences to understand. <\/p>\n<p>You&rsquo;ll have to <a href=\"\/forum\/entry\/register?Target=categories\" rel=\"nofollow\">create<\/a> an ALF account.&nbsp;After that, go to the <a href=\"\/forum\/categories\/photonics\" rel=\"nofollow\">Photonics<\/a> category and ask (or answer!) a question.&nbsp;Lumerical&rsquo;s support registration is not required to access ALF.<\/p>\n<p>Check out the <a href=\"\/forum\/discussion\/18838\/guidelines-for-posting-on-ansys-learning-forum\" rel=\"nofollow\">Guidelines for posting on the Ansys Learning Forum<\/a>. &nbsp;A key difference between ALF and KX is that Ansys employees (including the Lumerical team) are not permitted to download <em>any<\/em> attachments (learn more <a href=\"\/forum\/discussion\/23093\/why-ansys-employees-dont-download-attachments\" rel=\"nofollow\">here<\/a>).&nbsp;Screenshots are recommended if you want feedback on the settings in your project files.<\/p>\n<p>If you have trouble creating an ALF account, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lumerical.com\/contact-us\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">contact us here<\/a>.
