Thanks to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.simutechgroup.com\/\">SimuTech group<\/a> for teaching me this method.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 16.0pt; color: #1e4e79;\">FOR VIEWING OUTSIDE FACES ONLY<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2e75b5; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 14pt;\">In Mechanical:<\/span><span style=\"color: #2e75b5; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 14pt;\">&nbsp;<\/span><span>Insert a total displacement for a selected body into the solution, then right click on it and export an stl file.<\/span><span>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 14.0pt; color: #2e75b5;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18.6667px;\">In CAD:&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #3b3b3b; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">&nbsp;import the<\/span><span style=\"color: #3b3b3b; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">&nbsp;stl file. Some CAD systems don&#8217;t handle imported stl files very well. New versions are getting better at that. Right click on &#8220;Geometry Synthesis&#8221; and select &#8220;Insert&gt;&gt;Initial Geometry&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;\">9. Right click on &#8220;Initial Geometry&#8221; and select &#8220;convert to parasolid&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;\">10. Drop a DesignModeler (Geometry) Component onto FE modeler Model cell<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;\">11. Update FE modeler and DM<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 14.0pt; color: #2e75b5;\">Start DM (double click on Geometry field)<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<ol style=\"margin-left: 0.375in; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed; margin-top: 0in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt;\" type=\"1\"><\/p>\n<li style=\"margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0; vertical-align: middle;\" value=\"12\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Add a&nbsp; Body Operation, &#8220;Type&#8221; set to Sew, setting the &#8220;Create Solids?&#8221; to Yes<\/span><\/li>\n<p>\n<\/ol>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 14.0pt; color: #2e75b5;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; margin-left: .375in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;\">If the result is not a single solid, change &#8220;Tolerance&#8221; to User Defined.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 14.0pt; color: #2e75b5;\"><span style=\"color: #3b3b3b; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/us.v-cdn.net\/6032193\/uploads\/attachments\/3e825b35-df61-45f5-9693-a81101684b62\/edc2a65c-8653-4d44-811a-a8140109ced7_def3.jpg?width=690&amp;upscale=false\" alt=\"def3\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; color: black;\">13. In DM open Tools&gt;&gt;Options then go to:<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; color: black;\">DesignModeler&gt;&gt;Geometry&gt;&gt;Export Options&gt;&gt;Parasolid Export Version and select 24.0 for NX8<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 14.0pt; color: #2e75b5;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;\"> 14. Export Parasolid file.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;\">15.
