<li class=”MsoNormal” style=”color: rgb(0, 0, 0); text-align: left;”><span lang=”EN-US” style=”font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);”>The process will require root or administrator privilege.<\/span><\/li>\n

<li class=”MsoNormal” style=”color: rgb(0, 0, 0); text-align: left;”><span lang=”EN-US” style=”font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);”>This article uses the default installation directory of the Ansys License Manager. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

<p class=”MsoNormal” style=”text-align: left;” align=”left”><span lang=”EN-US” style=”font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);”>Uninstall on Windows<\/span><\/p><p class=”MsoNormal” style=”text-align: left;” align=”left”><span lang=”EN-US” style=”font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);”>Follow these steps on the license server machine. Commands shown are run with an “elevated” command prompt.<\/span><\/p><ul style=”margin-top: 0cm;” type=”disc”><li class=”MsoNormal” style=”color: rgb(0, 0, 0); text-align: left;”><span style=”color: rgb(0, 0, 0);”><span lang=”EN-US”><span style=”font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: ‘Arial’,sans-serif;”>Stop the Ansys License Manager<\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/span><span lang=”EN-US” style=”font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: ‘Arial’,sans-serif;”> in the Ansys license management center.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n

License Manager CVD”<br>sc delete “ANSYS, Inc. License Manager CVD” <\/span><\/p><ul style=”margin-top: 0cm;” type=”disc”><ul style=”margin-top: 0cm;” type=”disc”><li class=”MsoNormal” style=”color: rgb(0, 0, 0); text-align: left;”><span style=”color: rgb(0, 0, 0);”><span lang=”EN-US” style=”font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: ‘Arial’,sans-serif;”>Stop and Delete older versions of the Ansys license manager:<\/span><\/strong><span lang=”EN-US” style=”font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: ‘Arial’,sans-serif;”> <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n

Otherwise, reboot the machine and do the above steps again and ensure the following are no longer shown in Windows “Services”.<\/span><\/li>\n

Run the command below from the Windows command prompt with Administrator privileges. Note:<\/em><\/strong> This will delete the license files for the machine.<\/em>  <\/span><\/li>\n
