In this workflow, the BSDF is calculated using grating projection. The number of grating orders will depend on the width of the simulation region. In our <a href=\"https:\/\/optics.ansys.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/360042213854-Bidirectional-scattering-distribution-function-BSDF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">initial example<\/a>, this width was used to control the &#8220;resolution&#8221; of the BSDF.&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;For the export to Speos, the BSDF is calculated on a fixed grid.
