{"id":372722,"date":"2024-07-19T12:13:07","date_gmt":"2024-07-19T12:13:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/reply\/372722\/"},"modified":"2024-07-19T12:13:07","modified_gmt":"2024-07-19T12:13:07","slug":"372722","status":"publish","type":"reply","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/reply\/372722\/","title":{"rendered":"Reply To: BH Curve Error in Maxwell"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&lt;p&gt;Hi Bishwas,&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;When defining the BH Curve please check if your definition meets the following requirements&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Note the following requirements for creating a valid curve:&lt;\/p&gt;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For a&nbsp;<strong>Normal<\/strong>&nbsp;BH curve, the slope of the curve can not be less than that of free space anywhere along the curve.<\/li>\n<li>For an&nbsp;<strong>Intrinsic<\/strong>&nbsp;BH curve, the slope of the curve can not be less than 0.<\/li>\n<li>The value of B must increase along the curve.<\/li>\n<li>The initial value of B must be 0 (zero).<\/li>\n<li>Since BH operating points in the FEA solution may extend beyond the input BH data set, the BH data set is extrapolated in Maxwell. The slope of the last two user-defined data points is used to extrapolate the BH curve, and thus should be as close to &mu;&lt;sub&gt;0&lt;\/sub&gt;&nbsp;as possible.<\/li>\n<li>The data points representing the BH curve should have enough points to represent the curve accurately. Twenty (20) or more points should be specified with increased representation on the &#8220;knee&#8221; of the curve.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;For further information refer to &#8220;Specifying BH Curves for Nonlinear Relative Permeability&#8221; section in Maxwell
