To reset the settings, follow the steps below:<\/span><\/p><\/p>\n

    <li class=”MsoListParagraph” style=”margin-bottom: 8pt; margin-top: 0cm; margin-left: 0cm; line-height: 106%; font-size: 12pt;”><span style=”font-size: 12pt;”>Close Workbench and its applications.<\/span><\/li>\n

    <li class=”MsoListParagraph” style=”margin-left: 0cm; line-height: 106%; font-size: 12pt;”><span style=”font-size: 12pt;”>Type %appdata% in Windows Explorer’s Address bar (path) to access AppData \/ Roaming.<\/span><\/li>\n

    <li class=”MsoListParagraph” style=”margin-left: 0cm; line-height: 106%; font-size: 12pt;”><span style=”font-size: 12pt;”>Open the Ansys folder.<\/span><\/li>\n

    <li class=”MsoListParagraph” style=”margin-left: 0cm; line-height: 106%; font-size: 12pt;”><span style=”font-size: 12pt;”>Find the folder vXXY, where XXY is the release you are using. For example, if it’s 2023R1, then the folder name should be v231.<\/span><\/li>\n

    <li class=”MsoListParagraph” style=”margin-left: 0cm; line-height: 106%; font-size: 12pt;”><span style=”font-size: 12pt;”>Rename the folder as vXXY_old, or similar. This is used to store the old settings in case you need to refer to them in the future.<\/span><\/li>\n

    <li class=”MsoListParagraph” style=”margin-left: 0cm; line-height: 106%; font-size: 12pt;”><span style=”font-size: 12pt;”>Create an empty folder named vXXY.<\/span><\/li>\n

    <li class=”MsoListParagraph” style=”margin-left: 0cm; line-height: 106%; font-size: 12pt;”><span style=”font-size: 12pt;”>Open vXXY_old and copy the MigratePreferences.txt file. Paste it into the new vXXY folder.<\/span><\/li>\n

    <li class=”MsoListParagraph” style=”margin-left: 0cm; line-height: 106%; font-size: 12pt;”><span style=”font-size: 12pt;”>Delete all content in the MigratePreferences.txt of the vXXY folder and save.<\/span><\/li>\n

    <li class=”MsoListParagraph” style=”margin-left: 0cm; line-height: 106%; font-size: 12pt;”><span style=”font-size: 12pt;”>Open Workbench. Files will be added automatically to the new folder.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
