Firstly, it’s important to understand the mechanics of bolted joints and how to select bolts for your design. Ansys offers a course that provides a primer on bolt connections, discussing different types of threaded fasteners and their representation, as well as how modeling and simulation can be leveraged in designing bolted connections.
