{"id":365410,"date":"2024-05-03T12:45:08","date_gmt":"2024-05-03T12:45:08","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/reply\/365410\/"},"modified":"2024-05-03T12:45:08","modified_gmt":"2024-05-03T12:45:08","slug":"365410","status":"publish","type":"reply","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/reply\/365410\/","title":{"rendered":"Reply To: No ignition in premixed combustion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&lt;p&gt;Hello all,&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I have a similar problem with the ignition in my simulation.&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I&#8217;m using the GRI 3.0 mechanism, for non premixed air-methane combustion, but the ignition doesn&#8217;t start&#8230; And as Sem, when I do the same simulation with methane-air mixture, it works.&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Do you know how I can solve this issue please ?&nbsp;&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Here are my parameters :&lt;\/p&gt;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Steady combustion, with energy model, k-e viscous model and Species Transport model (using GRI 3.0 + Eddy Dissipation Concept)<\/li>\n<li>Air inlet velocity (I tried 2,4 and 6,1, but it doesn&#8217;t works&#8230;), 300K<\/li>\n<li>Fuel inlet velocity 5 m\/s, 300K, 100% methane<\/li>\n<li>Outlet pressure of 101kPa<\/li>\n<li>Coupled Pressure scheme, and 2nd order for spacial discretisazions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&lt;p&gt;I&#8217;m trying to reproduce a simulation I found on a paper, to learn and improve in combustion simulations.
