<p>Hi Karen,<\/p><p>Saving and reusing mesh is a very advanced feature and does not have direct support in the UI. Instead one has to use command line arguments to the engine. Those command line arguments are documented here:<\/p><p>https:\/\/optics.ansys.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/360024812334-Running-simulations-using-the-Windows-command-prompt<\/a><\/p><p>The idea is that you can run a simulation with the option<\/p><\/p>\n

-outmaterialfile <file><\/code><\/pre>\n
<p><span class=”ui-provider a b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z ab ac ae af ag ah ai aj ak” dir=”ltr”>and then you can run subsequent simulations with the command line argument<\/span><\/p><\/p>\n
-inmaterialfile <file><\/code><\/pre>\n
<p><span class=”ui-provider a b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z ab ac ae af ag ah ai aj ak” dir=”ltr”>where it loads the mesh from <file> instead of meshing.<\/span><\/p><p>This option can be useful and saves time when the geometry and the materials don’t change and you just want to simulate different source settings (source positions, incident angle, …). <\/p><p>Additionally, I am not sure if this is also somthing that could be setup with S-matrix sweep tool in the GUI.
