


{"id":361331,"date":"2024-04-09T13:41:00","date_gmt":"2024-04-09T13:41:00","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/reply\/361331\/"},"modified":"2024-04-12T12:24:00","modified_gmt":"2024-04-12T12:24:00","slug":"361331","status":"publish","type":"reply","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/reply\/361331\/","title":{"rendered":"Reply To: Structured O grid meshing issues"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&lt;p&gt;&nbsp;&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&nbsp;&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Dear Federico,&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The largest issue im still having is the weird unstructued mesh of the cone.&nbsp; With the multizone method it goes away but then the mesh at the interfaces between each section doesn&#8217;t align.&nbsp;&lt;br&gt;I would to avoid copying the mesh as the distances of each section is slightly different which would change the streamwise cell length.&lt;br&gt;After I changed a number of parameters for the inflation layer I get the following layers. I am now only looking at the first section (the first cylinder).&lt;br&gt;This is the layers I want. However, the mesh has now changed to tetrahedral elements. Is this always the case as I had hexahedral elements at first?&lt;br&gt;(the image to the left is after meshing with inflation layer.
