The&nbsp;&lt;span class=&#8221;&rdquo;uicontrol&rdquo;&#8221;&gt;&lt;strong class=&#8221;&rdquo;ph&#8221;&gt;&lt;span class=&#8221;&rdquo;highlight&rdquo;&#8221;&gt;Section Anchor&lt;\/span&gt;<\/strong>&lt;\/span&gt;&nbsp;is the point where the profile attaches to the beam path. You can change this in two ways.&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;\/section&gt;&lt;section class=&#8221;&rdquo;section&#8221;&gt;&lt;ul class=&#8221;&rdquo;ul&rdquo;&#8221;&gt;&lt;li class=&#8221;&rdquo;li&rdquo;&#8221;&gt;Use the <a href=\"https:\/\/ansyshelp.ansys.com\/account\/secured?returnurl=\/Views\/Secured\/corp\/v241\/en\/spaceclaim\/Discovery\/user_manual\/beamsorient.html\">Orient Tool <\/a>&nbsp;tool in the&nbsp;&lt;span class=&#8221;&rdquo;uicontrol&rdquo;&#8221;&gt;&lt;strong class=&#8221;&rdquo;ph&#8221;&gt;Beams<\/strong>&lt;\/span&gt;&nbsp;group of the&nbsp;&lt;span class=&#8221;&rdquo;uicontrol&rdquo;&#8221;&gt;&lt;strong class=&#8221;&rdquo;ph&#8221;&gt;Prepare<\/strong>&lt;\/span&gt; tab<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&lt;p&gt;&nbsp;&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;ul id=&#8221;&rdquo;t_beams_profile_extracted_beam__ul_ffz_2mx_vqb&rdquo;&#8221; class=&#8221;&rdquo;ul&rdquo;&#8221;&gt;&lt;li class=&#8221;&rdquo;li&rdquo;&#8221;&gt;Select the beam and change the&nbsp;&lt;span class=&#8221;&rdquo;uicontrol&rdquo;&#8221;&gt;&lt;strong class=&#8221;&rdquo;ph&#8221;&gt;&lt;span class=&#8221;&rdquo;highlight&rdquo;&#8221;&gt;Section Anchor&lt;\/span&gt;<\/strong>&lt;\/span&gt;&nbsp;property<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&lt;p&gt;&nbsp;&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Select the location where the profile intersects with the path of the beam: Area Centroid, Shear Center, or Location. If you select Location, then you can enter the X and Y coordinates of the anchor location.
