Note, if something isn&#8217;t on the list that means it&#8217;s not tested, it doesn&#8217;t necessarily mean it won&#8217;t work.&nbsp;&lt;\/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;In more general terms, you need RAM &amp; SSD for running Mechanical jobs, and RAM for Fluent. Most laptops have more cpu cores than Student has parallel licences (you get 4 at present) so that tends not to be an issue. From experience with my home PC (so a personal comment, not Ansys related) 512GB may be a little small once you&#8217;ve installed Win11 and a few games! Our work PCs (Ansys comment) have twin 1GB SSDs and we&#8217;re generally running at around 80% disc capacity &#8211; C: has all the software &amp; D: is where all my work\/files is kept.
