I assigned a radiation boundary to the air box.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> <\/span>I next created a small rectangle, orienting it in the plane of the dipole between the two arms of the dipole.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> <\/span>The small rectangle was the same size as the gap and positioned in the center of the arms of the dipole. <span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> <\/span>I have checked this rectangle to verify that it is the same size as the gap and is centered and touching the arms of the dipole.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> <\/span>I assigned the lumped port excitation on this small rectangle. Instead of the lumped port general window popping up, I received the reference conductors for terminals window.<\/span><\/p><p style=”margin-top: 0in; background: #FBFBFB;”><span style=”font-size: 10.5pt; font-family: ‘Open Sans’,sans-serif; color: black;”>There is no way to assign an integration line to indicate the direction of the current.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> <\/span>I can click on the excitation under the project manage tab, and the lumped port window opens, but I cannot define the integration line.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> <\/span><\/span><\/p><p style=”margin-top: 0in; background: #FBFBFB;”><span style=”font-size: 10.5pt; font-family: ‘Open Sans’,sans-serif; color: black;”>Next, I set up the analysis through the advanced solution set-up – I defined a single frequency and changed the maximum number of passes to 30. I did not edit the frequency sweep – I kept it at the default settings.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> <\/span>I inserted a far-field set-up as an infinite sphere – keeping the default values.<\/span><\/p><p style=”margin-top: 0in; background: #FBFBFB;”><span style=”font-size: 10.5pt; font-family: ‘Open Sans’,sans-serif; color: black;”>When I validate the model, I receive errors with the boundaries and excitations.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> <\/span>So, I am confident my issue is with the lumped port excitation.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> <\/span>My excitation is within the solution space, so I am sure this is the correct excitation.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> <\/span>The error states “Port “1”: the port has no terminals defined on it.”<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> <\/span><\/span><\/p><p style=”margin-top: 0in; background: #FBFBFB;”><span style=”font-size: 10.5pt; font-family: ‘Open Sans’,sans-serif; color: black;”>Again I appreciate any suggestions or feedback.<\/span><\/p><p style=”margin-top: 0in; background: #FBFBFB;”><span style=”font-size: 10.5pt; font-family: ‘Open Sans’,sans-serif; color: black;”>Regards.<\/span><\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-234802","reply","type-reply","status-publish","hentry"],"aioseo_notices":[],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/replies\/234802","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/replies"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/reply"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/replies\/234802\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=234802"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
