{"id":194480,"date":"2021-10-12T11:39:26","date_gmt":"2021-10-12T11:39:26","guid":{"rendered":"\/forum\/forums\/reply\/194480\/"},"modified":"2021-10-14T12:48:59","modified_gmt":"2021-10-14T12:48:59","slug":"194480","status":"publish","type":"reply","link":"https:\/\/innovationspace.ansys.com\/forum\/forums\/reply\/194480\/","title":{"rendered":"Reply To: APDL how can I use MPC184 to connect al element?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\nCan you please ask this question in the structural forum &#8211; this forum is for design\/cad related questions mostly.<\/p>\n<p>thank you<\/p>\n<p>Erik<\/p>\n<p>PS:<\/p>\n<p>One can define a single node (say nr: numbernode), <br \/>\nthen define a mpc184 link via et,1000,mpc184, <br \/>\nthen set type to type,1000 (for mpc184 type), and loop through the nodes on the line that are in a named selection (these are selected with cmsel), and then get the node number say called currrent_node_nr, and do a command (E command) E,numbernode,currrent_node_nr, to define a mpc184 element between nodes currrent_node_nr and numbernode.
