SubscriberHey everbody,
we've just installed the whole ansys suite on a fresh Windows Server 2019 Terminalserver. The installation was done as a local administrator in the default directory which is accessible by every domain user. There are some Tools/Parts the user can open but when trying to open the Workbench (2024R2) the attached error message appears. We've already tried multiple fresh installations, checked the access to the installation folder, compared all the environment variables to another terminalserver on which everythin runs great. Also we tried to check all logs we could find but they gave no clues... also running the workbench as a domain-user with administrative right results in the same error. Only starting the workbench as a local administrator works at the moment...does anyone have a clue what the problem could be?
Best regards,
Kevin!

Ansys EmployeeHello Kevin,
When running as a domain user, check the %APPDATA% mapping.
It can not be a UNC PATH. It must be a mapped drive or a non-UNC PATHBest Regards,
George
