Hi all.
I am aware it is not possible to set a target outlet mass flowrate for the pressure-outlet option for multi-phase. I want to fix the volume (or at least mass) flowrate out of a bottom run off valve, at the moment with mass-outlet specified I have to input the mass flow of both phases, however, this is something I am not sure of. I just know the volume flowrate which the pump is pulling. See picture below.
April 22, 2022 at 9:46 amRobForum ModeratorNot an easy one at present as the boundary conditions aren't well suited to this. There are a couple of tricks/options with source terms and fix conditions, but the how is unfortunately beyond what I'm permitted to share via the open community.
April 28, 2022 at 7:42 amBevisPrivettSubscriberHi Rob I got help from ANSYS, they recommended changing the outlet to a velocity outlet give a negative velocity, you can then calculate the expected velocity and set that as a negative inlet velocity.
