Surface conductivity of 2 D grating solar cell

      I am using the example file given for 2 D grating solar cell (no changes to any parameters) but then the surface conductivity is 0 is what I'm getting. 
      But this being a solar cell shouldn't have 0 surface conductivity.  What is going wrong?

      Hello,

      The index monitor will show the material properties of the geometry objects in the simulation. These objects are modelled with complex permittivity/ refractive index, which is an input to the simulation. Only 2D elements have surface conductivity in FDTD. If you would like to add surface conductivity you can do so by adding a 2D Rectangle or 2D Polygon object to the simulation.
